World Press Foto Zutphen 2018
On the 23th of July, my mom, dad, sister and me visited the World Press Photo Exhibition in the Walburgiskerk in Zutphen. A lot of painful shots of refugees; war and their saddest victims: children. The church was a contrasting scenery for the photo’s and their content, as always.
Children is always something that get to your and your emotions, I can only imagine the impact.
You’re right, kids are special.. ✋
Het zijn altijd de zwaksten in onze samenleving die eerst slachtoffer zijn…
Het zou niet mogen, maar het is van alle tijden vrees ik 😦
Helaas! ✋
I am sure this was a powerful exhibit, Harrie.
Yes it was, Jane; as always. 👍✋
I saw one in Montreal a few years back. I found it very hard. Didn’t go back again.
Fortunately there are also less voilent categories, like nature or sports… For the rest it’s about how people can treat each other… ‘People are Small’… ✋
It can be difficult to look at a lot of reporting photography…but it’s so important. And it must have been interesting to go with family.
The message is more important than the shot; and the messages most of the time are horrible… This year the family was more important. ☺✋
