😃 You know your birds! Yes they were! Made a lot of noise and they came diving close along my head; but didn’t touch me… Bit scary; and hard to get a good shot; because they are so fast! But fun. 👍🍻✋
If you ever contemplate walking amongst terns again, the thing to do is to hold a pole eg the wooden handle of a sweeping brush vertically upwards beside and above your head – this should stop the birds diving down at your head. In the UK, I can recall instances of terns actually striking people’s heads. 🙂
